If You Truly Love Someone, You Give Them Space To Grow

 If you are truly in love with someone, then you should always give that person the space to grow on their own. You don’t get the right to lambast them for having goals and dreams. You shouldn’t blame them for being so confident even though you are crippled by your own insecurities.

You shouldn’t hold them back from becoming who they’re meant to be just because you’re unsure of who you want to be. You should never trap a person that you’re supposedly in love with. You should never be serving as a person’s shackles. If you truly are in love with this person, then you would always give them the freedom to go out and fly. You should always give them the encouragement that they need to actually forge their own paths.

If you are truly in love with a person, you would never want to be clipping their wings so that they stay on the ground. You always want to be giving that person the extra push so that they will be forced to fly out and seek adventures on their own. You should never force them to stay where you are just because you are too afraid of them finding something better out there.

You should never be forcing them to just give up everything they could have ever wanted just because you don’t know what it is you want for your own life. You shouldn’t be forcing them to give up and quit just because you’re the one who is afraid. You shouldn’t be jealous of a person you love when all they want to do is follow their heart.

You shouldn’t be jealous of the success and milestones that the person you love is going to gain along the way. You have to consider their happiness to be your own personal happiness as well. If you revel in their mystery, they would still be able to call it love?

If you are truly in love with a person, you must always believe in them. You must always serve as their most loyal supporter. You must always make them feel like you have their backs regardless of how dire the situations may get. If you are truly in love with someone, you must serve as their number one fan. You must be their biggest cheerleader.

Whenever they feel like quitting, you have to be the one to tell them to keep going. Whenever they feel like turning back, you have to be the one to tell them to keep pushing forward. You shouldn’t be mocking them for dreaming too big. You should be telling them that they’re not dreaming big enough.

You shouldn’t be telling them that what they want is possible. You should be telling them that anything is possible so as long as the two of you are together. You shouldn’t laugh at them for having unrealistic ambitions. You should be telling them that they have what it takes to get whatever they want in life. You should never be the one who takes their opportunities away from them. You should do everything in your power to help them along the way. You need to be the one who is constantly pushing them towards where they need to be in life.

If you are truly in love with a person, you shouldn’t be dragging them back to where you are just because you are too afraid to venture into the unknown. You should be holding their hand and making sure that they never feel afraid as they try to overcome the challenges that are set before them. You should never be serving as that person’s dead weight. You should be propelling them towards the finish line.

You should always be able to place that person’s needs above your own. If you are truly in love with someone, then you should have no problems with making sacrifices for them. And you’re both going to have to have each other’s backs if you’re really going to prolong your relationship.
